On March 31, Zhipu AI introduced its latest agent product, AutoGLM, at the 2025 Zhongguancun Forum. The new agent is equipped with in-depth research and operational capabilities, enabling it to autonomously open and browse web pages, and complete tasks ranging from data retrieval and analysis to report generation.
According to Zhipu, AutoGLM integrates the reasoning model GLM-Z1-Air and the base model GLM-4-Air0414. The GLM-Z1-Air is positioned as a competitor to DeepSeek-R1, offering up to 8 times the speed at just 1/30th of the cost. Zhipu announced that these models will be open-sourced on April 14 and gradually made available in the near future.
