FILMBASE Sets Guinness World Record with World’s Largest LED Aerial Screen

A massive 72.66-square-meter “Flying Screen” recently ascended into the night sky over Shenzhen, captivating audiences with dynamic visuals of airplanes taking off, rockets launching, and astronauts floating in space. Developed by FILMBASE, the screen has officially set a new Guinness World Record as the world’s largest LED mesh aerial display.

This innovative screen boasts 150,000 to 300,000 pixels, delivering image clarity dozens of times greater than traditional building or drone light shows. With a remarkable 95% transparency, it blends seamlessly into its surroundings, creating highly immersive visuals. Weighing only 250 grams per square meter, it remains stable in winds up to level 3, ensuring reliable airborne performance. Additionally, it utilizes natural wind cooling, eliminating the need for extra cooling equipment, reducing energy consumption, and minimizing noise pollution.

“Compared to traditional ground-based displays, the ‘Flying Screen’ integrates high-definition transparent display technology with aerial mobility, creating a more flexible and breathtaking visual experience. It opens up new possibilities for aerial advertising, brand showcases, event promotions, and cultural light displays, marking a revolutionary innovation in the low-altitude economy,” said FILMBASE General Manager Yuan Lanlan.

FILMBASE has been deeply invested in the “drone + high-definition display” sector. According to the China National Intellectual Property Administration, the company secured a patent in 2024 for a “drone-mounted screen display method and system.” “Through participation in high-profile industry exhibitions worldwide, we’ve significantly boosted our flagship product’s recognition and accelerated global market expansion,” Yuan added.

The “Flying Screen” has already received a substantial number of domestic and international orders. It is set to debut in Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, and Dubai in the near future.
