AthenaEyes and Huawei Launch Fully Domestic AI-Powered Medical Solution

On March 19, AthenaEyes and Huawei jointly unveiled the industry’s first fully domestically developed AI-powered medical solution—the “Bianshi + DeepSeek Dual-Engine” Intelligent Medical Workstation.

This all-in-one workstation is built on the Ascend AI chip, integrating an AI middleware platform, digital human technology, the Bianshi large model, and DeepSeek seamlessly. It enables end-to-end localization across hardware, middleware, and applications. The product is designed for various medical and healthcare scenarios, including intelligent medical insurance review, AI-powered healthcare assistants, clinical decision support, smart patient triage, automated medical record generation, health consultations, and chronic disease management.

According to an AthenaEyes representative, security and efficiency remain key challenges in the digital transformation of the medical industry. Given that medical and insurance data involve patient privacy and public funds, the new workstation adopts on-premises deployment, addressing both computational efficiency and data security concerns. By ensuring that all data is processed within healthcare institutions, it eliminates risks associated with external data transfers. Additionally, the hardware integrates encryption chips and security modules, while the software enforces tiered access control, ensuring compliance with industry regulations through a “usable but invisible” data protection approach.

The workstation is designed to handle various types of medical data, including diagnostic test results, follow-up records, tongue and pulse diagnostics, traditional Chinese medical case files, and chronic disease management logs. It enhances domain-specific knowledge and logical reasoning, supports multimodal data analysis, and assists in clinical decision-making. With a tiered AI model architecture—including Professional, Enhanced, Standard, and Basic versions—the workstation is adaptable to different healthcare environments, from top-tier hospitals to community clinics, accelerating the intelligent transformation of the medical industry.
