Raycus Laser Develops China’s First Integrated Fiber Stripping, Cutting, and Splicing System

Raycus Laser has officially announced the successful development of China’s first integrated fiber stripping, cutting, and splicing system. According to the Wuhan Science and Technology Bureau, this breakthrough fills a critical gap in the domestic market and provides essential technical support for the country’s high-end fiber laser manufacturing industry.

The system achieves a motion precision of 0.2 μm and can handle optical fibers with diameters ranging from 125 μm to 1200 μm. Once the fiber is loaded, the machine automates the stripping, cutting, and splicing processes with a single command, significantly reducing manual operations and preventing damage during transfers.

Key technological highlights include:

  • Advanced Fiber Stripping: Efficiently removes fiber coatings with precision, ensuring a smooth surface without heat generation.
  • High-Precision Cutting: Produces clean, smooth cuts with an angular deviation of less than 1°.
  • Optimized Splicing Technology: Utilizes an advanced fusion algorithm, achieving an ultra-low splicing loss of just 0.02 dB.

This innovation marks a major step forward in China’s optical fiber processing capabilities, reinforcing its leadership in high-performance laser technology.
