According to reports, Apple and Alibaba are considering a collaboration to develop AI features specifically for iPhone users in China. Sources familiar with the matter reveal that this partnership is part of Apple’s strategy to counter declining sales in the Chinese market by offering more attractive software features.
Since 2023, Apple has been testing various AI models from prominent Chinese developers and, last year, selected Baidu as its primary partner. However, in recent months, Apple has started exploring additional options and is evaluating models developed by Tencent, ByteDance, Alibaba, and DeepSeek.
